Bellingham airport reopens after small plane flips

BELLINGHAM — A wind gust is being blamed for flipping a small airplane with two people upside down on the main runway at Bellingham International Airport.

The Bellingham Herald reports the two male occupants of the single-engine plane were both walking around by the time emergency vehicles arrived on the scene Monday morning, according to Port of Bellingham spokesperson Mike Hogan.
