Ridgefield seventh-grader wins holiday card contest

Ridgefield — View Ridge Middle School seventh-grader Lily Cox was the first-place winner in the Superintendent’s Holiday Greeting Card Art Contest for the Ridgefield School District. Her artwork was selected by judges as the entry that best exemplifies this contest’s theme of “Holiday Magic.” Lily’s winning design decorated the cover of the district’s holiday greeting cards, which were mailed to school districts, public entities and private businesses on Ridgefield School District’s holiday mailing list. She also receives a $50 cash award. The runners-up in the contest were Ridgefield High School junior Estelle Blystone, South Ridge Elementary School second-grader Anna Chapin and Ridgefield High School senior Liam McAllister. Each runner-up received a $25 cash award.
