Camas and Ridgefield will enjoy a little extra Fourth of July excitement as F-15 Eagle fighter jets from the Oregon Air National Guard fly overhead at designated times.

Jets from the 142nd Fighter Wing, based at Portland International Airport, are scheduled to fly over Camas at 10:45 a.m. and Ridgefield at 11 a.m. That’s just when Ridgefield’s big annual Fourth of July parade is set to begin.

The jets will fly approximately 1,000 feet above the ground at about 400 mph. Flights could be canceled or rescheduled due to weather or other needs.

After flying over Clark County, the 142nd Fighter Wing jets will do the same over various Northwest Oregon and Oregon Coast locations.
