PORTLAND — Authorities have identified the body recovered from the Columbia River Friday night as a 22-year-old Portland man.
Early Saturday evening, the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office identified the body as Carlos Lara-Escudero.
Shortly after 10 p.m. Friday, the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report that a swimmer had gone under the water near Kelley Point Park on the Columbia River. The body was pulled from the river at 11:10 p.m.
Authorities say they are continuing to investigate but have no further details to release at this time.
