Northeast Hazel Dell — More than 100 people participated in Sherrie Robertson’s eighth annual Dance for a Cure fundraiser on May 11 at Vancouver Fitness Studio.

The event benefited the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. Robertson offered three Jazzercise classes taught by her and 11 other instructors from Hazel Dell, Hockinson, Camas and Kennewick.

There were also more than 20 raffle baskets and gifts up for grabs. Robertson got involved with Relay for Life after her father was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2010. She joined her twin sister’s team, and formed her own team in Vancouver in 2016.

This year’s fundraiser brought in $6,500, bringing the eight year total to nearly $30,000.
