PORTLAND — A head-on collision killed both drivers in northern Marion County on Sunday but a 4-year-old passenger survived, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office said.

Jessica Griego, 34, of Oregon City, Ore., was driving a Lexus SUV westbound on McKay Road near Case Road and swerved into oncoming traffic, police said. Her car struck a Ford Explorer Sport Trac driven by Martin Johnson, 65, of Willamina, Ore.

Deputies responded to the crash at about 1 p.m. The 4-year-old, Griego’s son, was taken to a Portland hospital and is in good condition, according to police.

Police are investigating whether speed or alcohol were factors. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.
