Two sisters with a passion for numbers and teaching have opened a math tutoring franchise outlet through Mathnasium in Mill Plain Town Center.

Their location at 16020 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd., Suite 117, joins an existing Mathnasium location in Clark County at 1218 N.E. 88th St., according to the company’s website, which lists nine other Portland-area locations.

Ashley Lindoff and Crystal Lambrecht, the Mill Plain Town Center location co-owners, grew up in Vancouver and attended Evergreen School District schools. Lindoff graduated from Central Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts in secondary math education and physics and has worked as a math para-educator in the Evergreen School District. Lambrecht graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Arts in accounting and a minor in economics. She is a certified public accountant and has worked in accounting for T-Mobile and Intel.

“For both of us, numbers and math have always been a part of our lives,” Lindoff, who has worked in another Mathnasium for the Los Angeles-based company, said in an email. “We’ve always been passionate about problem solving and teaching others how to use numbers in a fun way.”
