Local law enforcement made 10 drunken-driving arrests over the weekend during a St. Patrick’s Day patrol emphasis in Southwest Washington.

Officers from the Vancouver and Battle Ground police departments, Clark County Sheriff’s Office and Washington State Patrol participated in the DUI emphasis, with support from the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board and Clark Regional Emergency Services Agency, according to a Monday news release.

In addition to the DUI arrests, officers contacted 61 people, issued 43 citations and infractions, gave 27 warnings and made three other arrests.

The additional enforcement was funded by a grant from the Washington Traffic Safety Commission.
