EUGENE — PeaceHealth’s Oregon network recently announced the appointment of a new medical leader.

Andrea Halliday will serve as PeaceHealth’s system chief clinical officer and as chief medical officer for the Oregon network.

As chief medical officer, she will work with the Oregon network leadership team as well as medical staff leaders, where she will oversee safety, quality and provider engagement, according to Sherri Buri McDonald, a spokeswoman for Eugene-area PeaceHealth locations.

A board-certified neurosurgeon, Halliday began her career at PeaceHealth in 2010 as patient safety officer for PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Centers in Eugene and Springfield. She graduated from Harvard Medical School and trained in neurosurgery at Massachusetts General Hospital.
