Letter: Shame on Trump supporters

By Joan M. Tyrrell, Vancouver

The following concerns Trump and those who support him:

The majority of Trump’s promises, when he was a candidate, were lies. They are too numerous to mention, but he reiterated time and time again that Mexico would pay for the wall; he promised not to touch Medicare, Medicaid or Social Security; and he promised to show his tax returns if elected. He has been reported to have lied thousands of times since taking office.

I could go on and on about his pathological lying that, I am sure, we are all aware of.

What I fail to understand is that despite his lies, racist behavior, disrespect of women, possible Russian connections and admiration of dictators, that there are those of you that still support him. For what reason?

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. To those Trump supporters … shame on you!
