Homeless service provider Share raised a record-breaking $341,292 at its April 27 gala at the Hilton Vancouver Washington.

“We are truly grateful to everyone who attended, donated, volunteered and celebrated with us at this year’s gala. The event was a celebration of our organization’s 40th anniversary, highlighting the growth of Share over the past four decades and renewing our commitment to improve the lives of individuals and families who face hunger, are homeless or struggle to find affordable housing,” Executive Director Diane McWithey said in a news release.

The gala had 610 guests, 70 volunteers and 52 corporate and community member sponsors.

Awards were presented to individuals and organizations that have made a lasting impact on Share’s vision: Bill and Gene Kuechmann, Vanessa Gaston with Clark County Community Services, John McDonagh, Kate Budd with Council for the Homeless, Jo Marie and Steve Hansen, St. Andrew and St. Paul Lutheran churches with the Winter Hospitality Overflow Program, Marty Rifkin and Kate Jones with KMR Group Foundation, and Alan Hamilton of the Clark County Food Bank.

Sherri McMillan of Northwest Personal Training and Why Racing Events won best dressed at the gala; she and other nominees raised money by asking for votes and donations to Share.
