Letter: Save us from ourselves

By Sandra Cole, Vancouver

Regarding The Columbian’s Jeers at Gov. Jay Inslee’s taxpayer paid campaign expenses (“Cheers & Jeers,” March 30, The Columbian): The publicity for the very real consequences of climate change will be a very good investment if indeed he is able to make this a true political issue and substantial measures are taken to keep temperatures from continuously rising until it is no longer possible to live on this planet. The only “scientists” who disagree about these consequences are paid by oil companies directly or indirectly. I am happy to support Inslee in this effort to save us from ourselves.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
