Letter: Comey assisted Trump

By Deborah Burbank, Vancouver

Regarding Debra Saunders’ “A Trump ‘what if’ worth asking” (April 30, The Columbian), she has to be kidding. Comey assisted Trump by revealing that Hillary was under investigation but staying mum about potential Trump ties with Russia. No one is to blame for Trump’s behavior as president except Trump and the Republicans who enable him. Shame on Saunders for trying to blame it on Comey. My “what if” is, what if we did not have the electoral college and Trump was not the president? One can only hope for better in 2020.
