New Seasons recalls potato salad over undisclosed eggs

New Seasons Market has recalled 60 pounds of bacon shallot potato salad because the company did not disclose it contained eggs.

The salad, which was sold by the pound from the deli case or in plastic containers at the Mountain Park, Hawthorne and University Park stores in Portland, was made at the company’s in-house food preparation facility. The labels did not say that the salad had eggs in it.

People with egg allergies or sensitivities could have a serious reaction to eating the potato salad, which is why New Seasons officials chose to recall the product. The mislabeled salad has “packed on” dates or May 16 to 21 and “sell by” dates up to May 26.
