Ridgefield honors students, employee of the month for April

Ridgefield — At a recent board meeting, Ridgefield School District’s board announced the April Employee and Students of the Month. Sunset Ridge Intermediate School resource room teacher Kelly O’Boyle was named Employee of the Month for being a strong advocate for students. South Ridge Elementary School fourth-grader Connor Bringhurst earned the monthly honor for his positive attitude and always looking to help others. Iver Kast, a kindergartner at Union Ridge Elementary School, was selected for always working hard on his projects. Sunset Ridge sixth-grader Raina Larson was named Student of the Month for being respectful, responsible and resilient and helping clean up playground equipment. View Ridge Middle School seventh-grader Allison Orantes earned the honor for adding interesting conversation to classroom discussions. Sophomore Angelina Zhiryada of Ridgefield High School has been nominated by four different teachers this year; all said she has been a positive influence in class.
