Teen pistol-whips man during argument in east Vancouver neighborhood

A man suffered minor injuries Friday when he was pistol-whipped during a confrontation with a group of teens in a Cascade Park neighborhood, according to the Vancouver Police Department.

The incident, initially dispatched as a shooting, was reported at 8:07 p.m. in the 600 block of Southeast 141st Avenue, in the Mountain View neighborhood south of Mill Plain Boulevard.

According to a police bulletin, the man had confronted a group of teens in the area. During an argument that ensued, one of the teens pulled a handgun and struck the man in the head, and the group ran away.

Police asked that anyone with information on the incident call 911.
