1A football playoff: Montesano 58, King’s Way Christian 14

MONTESANO — Trace Ridgway rushed for two touchdowns and passed for two more as the Bulldogs pulled away from King’s Way in a 1A district playoff.

Ridgway’s 57-yard touchdown run and a Brent Hollatz’s 1-yard TD run gave Montesano a 14-0 lead in the first quarter.

King’s Way cut the margin to 14-7, and later 21-14 in the second quarter. But a kickoff return by the Bulldogs gave them a 28-14 lead at halftime.

The Bulldogs pulled away in the second half.
