Letter: Strap in for a bumpy ride

I’ve been a political junkie for years, but the Trump presidency has turned this fascination into a nightmare.

I’m tired of the suffocating coverage by the national media of the chaos that swirls around President Trump’s administration. I’m tired of the daily crises and drama that Donald produces. I wish it would all stop, but it won’t.

I’m tired of the stupid tweets from the President of the United States that wouldn’t be appropriate for a 12-year-old schoolyard bully, let alone someone who is supposed to be a world leader.

I’m tired of Trump’s ridiculous rallies with his attacks on the media and unpresidential insults against his adversaries. I’m tired of all those people standing behind him, wearing the same MAGA hat and waving the same signs, mindlessly chanting the same phrases and responding back with the same old preset talking points. These characteristics are what one would expect from brainwashing at a massive scale.

When you are brainwashed, there’s a wall in your mind. Logic lies on the far side and you can’t touch it. The Trump MAGA cult has repeatedly demonstrated that no matter how ludicrous Trump’s lies are, they support him. So strap in folks.
