Letter: Uphold oath of office

Now that a couple of the transcripts have been released I’m wondering if Jaime Herrera Beutler has taken the time to read them, and does she still consider the impeachment hearings to be “a farce”? In case you haven’t familiarized yourself with the information, here is a link: https://tinyurl.com/qt53q5o.

I respectfully ask Herrera Beutler to prove that she works for all of her constituents, that she will actually take under consideration the undermining of the Constitution of the United States by President Trump, and start to act with that in mind and be brave enough not to cower from the possible wrath of the president.

Our democracy demands that our representatives listen not only to the people that put them in office, but that they uphold their oaths to that office.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
