Let’s say you’re on the school board, and you see videos on social media of a past school board member telling tales of how he helps students cheat and in fact disclosing he bullied other school officials to support his actions.
You decide to challenge this person when you hear he’s running for school board again. You decide to publish the videos.
Now this past board member and his supporters accuse you of tampering in his election efforts. They have a lot of support and money to fund them, and they create confusion against you with other things that have nothing to do with his cheating.
Moral question: Do you keep showing the social media videos, even though the past board members’ supporters demonize you and actually sue you for defamation of character? How much money do you have to fight back? The real problem is our political parties, especially the Democrats, can’t admit Vice President Joe Biden was practicing quid pro quo with his son.
