2A Greater St. Helens League football: Columbia River 28, Mark Morris 21

Mason Priddy scored on a 17-yard touchdown run with 22 seconds left to rally Columbia River to a 28-21 win over Mark Morris in a 2A Greater St. Helens League game on Friday.

Mark Morris took a 21-14 lead on Cole Busch’s two-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.

Isaac Bibb-O’Neal’s 1-yard touchdown run with about nine minutes to play in the fourth quarter tied the score at 21-21.

Both teams traded possession until Columbia River intercepted a Monarchs pass and returned it to its own 37 with 1:30 to play.

From there, the Chieftains would drive to the winning score.

Homero Anguiano’s interception on Mark Morris’ final possession sealed the win for River.

Priddy would finish with 189 yards passing and 85 passing. Bibb-O’Neal rushed for 83 yards and three touchdowns.

Keoni Makaiwi rushed for 84 yards and one touchdown for the Monarchs.
