Firefighters responded to a residential fire in the Northcrest neighborhood of Vancouver on Saturday morning. The fire was in a house in the 6000 block of Kansas Street.

The Vancouver Fire Department was dispatched at 4:57 a.m. Five engines, a ladder truck and a battalion chief were dispatched, according to Vancouver Fire Department spokesman Joe Spatz.

Crews arrived to find smoke coming from the front door of the house. All of the family members were already outside the house and uninjured.

Firefighters entered the house, located the fire and extinguished it, Spatz said. Information about the status of the home or the amount of damage caused by the fire was not immediately known, he said.
