The Mountain View boys tennis team clinched at least a tie for the 3A Greater St. Helens League title with a 5-1 win over Fort Vancouver on Monday.

The Thunder moved to 6-0 in league with two matches remaining. This will be Mountain View’s fourth consecutive 3A GSHL regular-season team title and the program has yet to drop a dual match since moving into the league four seasons ago.

Lu Abuizzah won in three sets at No. 1 singles for the Thunder, beating Sam Crawford 6-2, 4-6, 7-5.

In the 4A GSHL, Skyview topped Heritage 6-0 to keep some pressure on league-leader Union.

The Titans, who had a bye on Monday, sit atop the league at 5-0 with three matches to play. Second-place Skyview is 4-2, and Camas is third at 3-2. Camas hosts Union today.

In the 2A GSHL, Columbia River is a game in front of Ridgefield and they face off today at Ridgefield (6-1) for the league title. Columbia River (7-0) is riding a 29-match league win streak and has won the last three titles outright.
