Letter: Herrera Beutler not fit for job

An impeachment inquiry into whether the president of the United States used his power and congressionally approved funding to persuade a foreign country to investigate his political opponents is currently underway in Washington, D.C.

The president is obstructing justice in his refusal to cooperate. And where is the 3rd District congressional representative, Jaime Herrera Beutler? Hiding from her constituents. Emails and letters go unanswered, unless they can offer JHB an opportunity to eventually pat herself on the back.

On her Facebook page, her staff posts photos of JHB out in carefully selected and benign events. Meanwhile, the page is filled with many constituents demanding town halls and responses, all of which are ignored by her staff. Her silence on all of the most important topics is the loudest response we hear.

She has chosen politics over the Constitution and the GOP party control over her constituents. After almost three years, I can only assume that she is lazy, scared, or simply does not care about what her constituents think (except the chosen ones who give her money). It’s time for JHB to look for a new job; she has made it clear that she is not fit for the job.
