The city of Vancouver is looking for applicants to serve as the city’s representative on the Clark County Mosquito Control District Board.

The 10-member board is comprised of one member from each city in Clark County, as well as three members appointed by the Clark County Council. The group oversees administration and operation of the county’s Mosquito Control District.

The board meets at 7 p.m. on the second Tuesday of February, May, August and November, at the Mosquito Control Shop at 8115 N.E. St. Johns Road.

Each member serves a two-year term. The open position is currently held by a person whose term is expiring — they may or may not reapply.

To be considered, prospective board members must be city residents and must be available for an interview with the Vancouver City Council on Dec. 2.

Applicants can apply online at cityofvancouver.us/boards. To request a printed application, contact city staffer Michelle Bartley via mail at P.O. Box 1995, Vancouver, WA 98668-1995; via email at michelle.bartley@cityofvancouver.us or by phone at 360-487-8607.

Applications are due 5 p.m. Nov. 15.
