I am completely perplexed as to why Trump deserves the support of evangelicals. Let’s examine the person to whom the evangelicals have given their support and continue to give support, despite the overwhelming evidence that Trump is not deserving of this support:
First, Trump is an admitted sexual predator; he is on tape stating that he feels he has a right to grab the genitals of a woman. When he was the owner of the Miss America Pageant, he would routinely walk into the women’s dressing room, uninvited and without warning, while the contestants were in various stages of undress. Second, he is a bully who denigrates anyone that disagrees with him or dislikes him by using derogatory labels. Third, he is a bigot as proven by the many anti-black, anti-Hispanic, anti-immigrant comments he has made. Fourth, he has routinely disregarded the norms of behavior expected of the president of the most powerful nation on earth.
So, if you are an evangelical and you support Trump, have you shoved your Bible into a drawer so you don’t have to be reminded of how much he is the antithesis of your beliefs?
