Kemper Shrock of King’s Way Christian is The Columbian prep football player of the week for the week ending Oct. 26.

Shrock beat out Kelso’s Josh Webb on the honor.

Shrock completed 13 of 16 passes for 328 yards and five touchdowns and had a TD run in a win over Stevenson.

Winners may not be nominated again until the postseason, and players may not be nominated in consecutive weeks.

Other nominees

  • JOSIAH COCHRAN, SKYVIEW: Cochran was a defensive standout, including an interception, sack and pass deflection against Camas.
  • LIAM MALLORY, HOCKINSON: Mallory caught seven passes for 93 yards and a touchdown and returned an interception for a score in a win over Washougal.
  • BROOKS MASSEY, WOODLAND: Massey rushed for 142 yards and three touchdowns in the Beavers’ win over Columbia River.
  • JOSH WEBB, KELSO: Webb rushed for a school-record 358 yards and three touchdowns in a big win over Mountain View.
