Fairway-164th Avenue — The 12th annual Touchmark Car Show and Barbecue featured nearly 150 cars, raised more than $4,500 and drew an estimated 2,000 attendees. Donations collected at the event were split equally among the Alzheimer’s Association, Clark County Food Bank, Parkinson’s Association and Veterans of Clark County. The “Yarn Car” was a popular attraction at the event. Artist Tim Klein created a 1967 Imperial Crown covered with 5 miles of soft acrylic yarn and 2,000 black river rocks. This year’s donations bring the total collected over the years to $40,000.
