Prep highlights: River tennis 2A GSHL win streak reaches 29

Brady Decker, Columbia River’s No. 3 singles player, won a tight three-set match to clinch a 4-2 win over Mark Morris on Monday.

With the victory, the Columbia River boys tennis team extended its 2A Greater St. Helens League win streak to 29 matches.

Decker beat Eric Chen 6-4, 4-6, 6-2. He was the only Chieftains singles player to win on Monday. But River swept all three doubles matches.

Stars of the day

Graham Moody, Mountain View boys golf, shot a 1-under-par 33 at Fairway Village for medalist honors against Hudson’s Bay.

Allen Kim, Skyview boys golf, shot a 1-over 37 to lead the Storm over Battle Ground at The Cedars at Salmon Creek.

Jared Morser, Evergreen boys golf, had a 2-over-par 36 for medalist honors at Fairway Village against Fort Vancouver.

Evan Chen, Camas boys golf, shot 1-under 35 to lead the Papermakers over Columbia River. Chen, Eli Huntington and Owen Huntington all shot 37 or better for Camas.

Sophie Franklin, Camas slowpitch softball, was 2 for 4 with a double, home run and seven RBI in a doubleheader sweep of Battle Ground.
