Letter: Vote for healthy, bright planet

By Ward Upson, Vancouver

Recently millions of young people massed in the streets of major cities around the world to demand action on the looming threat of climate change. If nothing is done a 16-year-old’s world in 30 years could be something out of a gloomy dystopian science fiction novel.

So, now it is time for the rest of us to take to the streets, metaphorically. Call, write or email congress members to demand they reinstate controls of damaging emissions revoked by President Trump.

In the coming national election make sure the people you vote for will strive to keep our planet healthy and bright into the future.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
