Thank you doctors, nurses, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, medical assistants and all who serve the medical needs of our community.

Thank you police and sheriff’s officers, firefighters, emergency medical personnel, CRESA staff, and their support staff.

Thank you grocery workers, truck drivers, pharmacists and pharmacy techs.

Thank you everyone working for a utility, wastewater plant and Waste Connections.

Thank you to people keeping us connected to others at telecoms and cable companies.

Thank you city, county and state employees who are coordinating communication with us about our health and safety.

I’m sure I’ve missed some of the dedicated folks I should be grateful for in this uncertain time. There’s been more thinking time lately for those who can stay home and stay safe so again THANK YOU to everyone whose work is keeping life as normal as possible.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
