MEADOW HOMES — Assisted living facility and nonprofit CDM Caregiving Services recently received a $40,000 grant from the Southwest Washington COVID Response Fund managed by the Community Foundation for Southwest Washington. “This grant is significant in helping CDM provide the necessary safety equipment to our 250-plus caregivers and 500-plus clients,” a news release said. “CDM’s Caregivers are on the front lines daily, caring for clients. It is the utmost importance that both caregiver and client have the necessary equipment to stay safe. Beyond the necessary gloves, masks, gowns, etc., one necessary tool, thermometers. It’s imperative for the caregiver to take their own temperature and then the client’s temperature, before proceeding with the caregiving service. This grant will help make that possible.” The facility supports the elderly and adults with disabilities. Find out more at https://cdmcaregiving.org.
