Vancouver Public Schools announces administrative changes

Vancouver Public Schools announced the following administrative changes for the 2020-2021 school year. Personnel changes are subject to approval by the school board.

• Darci Fronk, principal at Alki Middle School, will be director of curriculum and instruction at the district level. Fronk succeeds Layne Manning, who is retiring.

• Mark Cain, current principal at Discovery Middle School, will move to Alki. April Whipple, principal at Ogden Elementary School, will move to Discovery Middle School.

• Matthew Kaufman, principal at Daybreak Primary School in Battle Ground Public Schools, will join the district as Ogden’s new principal.

• Mychael Irwin, Hazel Dell Elementary School principal, will be director of professional development, replacing Starla Manchester, who is retiring. Lisa Reed, current associate principal at Jason Lee Middle School, will become principal at Hazel Dell Elementary.

• Patrick Mahaney, an administrative intern and dean of students at Skyview High School, will be associate principal at Jason Lee Middle School.

• Casey Greco, current associate principal at Roosevelt Elementary School, will move to Felida Elementary School as associate principal. Jennifer Campos, currently an administrative intern and math coach at Salmon Creek Elementary, will be associate principal at Roosevelt Elementary.

• Mark Jordan, currently associate principal at Walnut Grove Elementary School, will move to Eisenhower and Lincoln elementary schools as associate principal. Elizabeth Vaughn, currently an administrative intern and teacher at Columbia River High School, will be associate principal at Walnut Grove Elementary.
