Recreation sites across Vancouver will remain closed through at least July 31, the city’s Parks and Recreation department announced.

The extended closures apply to:

• Playgrounds, sports courts, skate parks, water features and picnic shelters;

• Wintler Community Park;

• Any events planned for more than 250 people through the Parks and Recreation department, including concerts and movies.

Marine Park Boat Launch will remain open, although no beach access is allowed. All other city parks and trails remain open, but users are required to adhere to social distancing guidelines and keep six feet away from people from different households.

Other city facilities closed through May 31: The Firstenburg, Luepke and Marshall community centers, any citywide volunteer programs and all recreation classes and camps. The Vancouver Community Gardens are closed until at least May 31.
