Murdock Trust provides $4 million in COVID aid

The Vancouver-based M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust announced Wednesday its latest round of grants in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The trust distributed 60 emergency support grants totaling $4 million to Pacific Northwest nonprofits.

This included more than $1.7 million for Washington nonprofits and $25,000 for Open House Ministries, a faith-based homeless service provider in downtown Vancouver.

During this round, grants were focused on medical research ($350,000), basic human needs ($2,870,000), cultural and faith-based organizations ($377,500), community impact funds/community foundations ($150,000) and nonprofit support organizations ($450,000).
