A Washougal man is facing criminal allegations after he and a passenger were injured Friday afternoon in a rollover crash on Interstate 205, according to Washington State Patrol.

The single-vehicle crash was reported about 3:45 p.m.

A 2002 silver Volkswagen Jetta was traveling north on I-205 near state Highway 14 when it drifted onto the right shoulder. The driver overcorrected, causing the car to cross all of the lanes and slam into the center median barrier. It flipped onto its top and came to rest in the left lane, according to a state patrol crash memo.

The driver, Corey E. Hermance, 28, and his passenger, 23-year-old Morgan S. Bryden of Camas, were injured and taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, the crash memo states.

Troopers say driver inattention caused the crash.

Hermance was released from the hospital and arrested on suspicion of vehicular assault and possession of methamphetamine, the crash memo says.
