Surely I missed it. I am speaking of Jaime Herrera Beutler calling out Donald Trump for not setting an example by wearing a mask and leaving the impression that her constituents need not either, leaving us all at risk. I seemed to have also missed the condemnation of Trump’s white supremacy remarks. What about no action being taken as a result of the reported bounty on U.S. servicemen and women? Jaime appears to be like many of her colleagues, afraid Trump will mention her in a tweet. This is the same Jaime who has managed to hide from constituents for more than four years. No in-person town halls, no meetings at her office; only screened phone meetings where welcome questions are fielded, carefully staged photo-ops and press releases. We deserve better.
