Letter: Vote for change in policing

Are we barking up the wrong tree? It is good to demonstrate but a more effective solution is to make your legislators write laws. No more choke holds, a program to remove bad officers from interactions with public. The demands from NAACP are not race-specific and would make citizens safer as a whole. Ask your legislator where they stand. If you disagree, vote them out.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
