Update: The Vancouver Police Department reported at about 2:30 p.m. that Austin Jenkins had been found and was safe.

Vancouver police are seeking assistance finding an endangered man who went missing Tuesday evening.

Austin Jenkins was last seen about 6:45 p.m. when he walked away after an argument with his father on Northeast Andresen Road from Northeast Fourth Plain Boulevard, according to a police department statement.

The statement said Jenkins functions at the level of an 8 to 12 year old, is not from the Vancouver area and is not known to leave for this length of time. He has no phone or money, and his family does not know where he might go.

He is described as white, 5 foot 10 inches tall, 250 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a neon Seahawks jacket, carrying a Seahawks blanket and a gray duffle bag, police said.

Police ask that anyone who locates Jenkins to call 911.
