Vancouver-based fast food chain Burgerville announced Thursday that it plans to reopen its PDX airport restaurant location Sept. 1.

Burgerville operates 41 restaurants in Oregon and Washington, and shifted almost all of them to a drive-thru and delivery-only service model at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. The airport location and two others had to close because they lacked drive-thru lanes.

In a Thursday press release, the company said that the airport restaurant has been redesigned to promote physical distancing and other COVID-19 health safety practices. The airport Burgerville will also feature a new breakfast menu, and is the only company location with breakfast.
