Letter: Republicans afraid of the truth

It seems that the Republican senators have forgotten who is their boss. It is not the Republican Party, it is not Donald Trump, and it certainly isn’t “Moscow Mitch” McConnell. It is we, the people.

I don’t know how they can look at themselves in their mirrors every morning. They are as implicit as Donald Trump is in selling our country out. Since they are not doing their constitutional duty, even under an explicit oath, we need to show them who is their boss. If they do not want to hear witnesses in the impeachment trial of Trump, they are afraid of the truth. We need to do what any good manager does when it is obvious that someone is not doing their job. We need to fire them.

Please vote in the upcoming election, and let them know who is the boss.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
