ESTHER SHORT — iQ Credit Union raised $50,000 for Oregon Health and Science University’s Doernbecher Children’s Hospital during its annual Spirit Week, in which iQ employees donated to participate in themed dress-up days such as Tropical Tuesday or Look-Alike Friday. It also received donations from members and other community partners through in-branch and online donations. All contributions will be used to fund a new Rood Family Pavilion — a place for Doernbecher patients and their families who travel significant distances to receive care. “This is an amazing accomplishment and I am so proud of all who contributed,” iQ’s Chief Executive Officer Kelly Schrader said in a news release. “iQ Credit Union employees have taken fundraising in our community to the next level,” Executive Director Sadie Williams of OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital Foundation said in the release. “This creative campaign has united our community to help ensure that families can heal together during one of the toughest times.” iQ Credit Union, headquartered at 1313 Main St., Vancouver, has 13 branches in Clark County, two in Portland and one in Stevenson.
