Kaden Perry had 20 points, 16 rebounds and seven blocks as Battle Ground used a big second half to race past Kentridge in a first-round game in the 4A bi-district.

Battle Ground will play Skyview in a quarterfinal game Friday at a site in Clark County to be determined. The winner of that game clinches a berth to the regional round of state.

The Tigers (12-9) trailed 23-22 at halftime, but took control with 20-10 edge in the third quarter.

“We made a couple of adjustments at halftime,” Battle Ground coach Manny Melo said. “The biggest thing is we started getting the ball inside more. And we started hitting some shots.”

In the fourth quarter, the Tigers sealed the game from the free-throw line, finishing 12 of 14 for the game.

Brendan Beall scored 14 points and Cole Billingsley and Nate Millspaugh added 12 each.
