Crews respond to chimney fire east of Washougal

Update, 3 p.m. Wednesday: East County Fire & Rescue Chief Mike Carnes said the call ended up being a small chimney fire. Several crews stayed on scene for about 30 minutes to ensure flames had not extended into the attic.

The fire was reported at 10:47 a.m. at 38400 S.E. 46th St., according to dispatch records. No other details were immediately available.
