Girls basketball: Tumwater 48, R.A. Long 28

Miranda Lomax scored 11 points, and the Lumberjills held Tumwater to under 50 points for just the third time this season.

However, the Thunderbirds (20-1) sent R.A. Long (10-11) into the loser-out bracket of the 2A district tournament by jumping out to a 12-0 lead and never looking back.

R.A. Long will face Columbia River at 7:45 p.m. Monday at Ridgefield High School in a loser-out game, while Tumwater faces Black Hills in the semifinals.
