Vancouver police responded Friday afternoon to an attempted robbery at the iQ Credit Union on Chkalov Drive, according to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian.

The suspect entered the credit union at 615 S.E. Chkalov Drive shortly before 3:30 p.m. and handed a teller a note. He did not have a weapon, according to radio traffic, and left without any money.

The suspect was described as a white male, standing around 6 feet tall, and wearing a baseball cap and hip length, brown jacket, according to radio traffic.

Dispatchers were unsure if the suspect left on foot or in a vehicle.
