Clark County sheriff’s detectives are investigating after a man was found badly injured early Saturday morning on the side of a road east of Washougal.

Deputies and East County Fire and Rescue crews were dispatched at 1:30 a.m. to the 38500 block of Southeast Gibson Road for a report “of a suspicious circumstance,” according to a Clark County Sheriff’s Office press release.

A motorist found an injured man on the shoulder of the road with significant injuries, according to the sheriff’s office. The man was taken to the hospital.

The sheriff’s office did not identify the injured man, citing the family’s desire for privacy. However, a GoFundMe account and CaringBridge website, created on behalf of the family, identify the man as Tristen Jordan.

Jordan is recovering in a Vancouver hospital, according to the GoFundMe page. He is looking at two months of recovery time in the hospital and at least six months of physical therapy, the page says.

Anyone with direct information about the incident should call Detective Justin Messman at 360 397-2051.
