The Storm went cold in the fourth quarter and fell in the seventh-place game of the 4A bi-district tournament at Tumwater.

Skyview (17-9) was leading 43-34 with about a minute to play in the third quarter when Olympia (19-6) went on an 8-0 run. Skyview made just one field goal in the fourth quarter.

“We had a lot of good looks, but they didn’t fall,” Skyview coach Matt Gruhler said. “Another close loss at the bi-district tournament and all of them we had a chance to tie at the end.”

Down 53-51 with 10 seconds to play, Skyview nearly had two steals but fouled Kai Johnson who made both free throws to seal the game. Johnson finished with a game-high 29 points.

Kyle Gruhler led Skyview in scoring with 25 points and he also had 10 rebounds. Jace Chatman had 13 points, five rebounds and three assists, and Squeeky Johnson had six assists.

Skyview now awaits the draw for the 4A state regional round.
