Greg Jayne notes with appropriate disgust that state Rep. Matt Shea has been invited by Clark County Republicans to emcee their Lincoln Day Gala (“Shame on county GOP for Shea,” The Columbian, Feb. 23). By thus honoring Shea, local Republican officials follow the base tone set by their supreme leader, President Donald Trump, whose amorality has now leached down to the county level. This is yet another reason why We, The People must vote Republicans out of office, starting with Congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler.
