Boys basketball: Skyview 54, Capital 45

Despite a cold shooting night, the Skyview boys basketball team stayed in front of Capital in the second half for a 54-45 non-league victory Saturday at Olympia.

Skyview was 4 for 21 on 3-point attempts in the first half but one of those four was a big one.

Squeeky Johnson’s halfcourt buzzer-beater at the end of the second quarter put the Storm (10-2) ahead for good at 22-20.

Johnson also hit some early 3-pointers in the third quarter and finished with a game-high 19 points. He made five 3-pointers.

Kyle Gruhler scored all 18 of his points in the second half for Skyview.
